Bones, organs, and skeletal parts are fused together to create sculptures which which reference the body's interior. Although visually strong and resilient, these pieces retain a sense of vulnerability and affliction.

The Healing Figure Sculptures are formed on a wire armature. This segmented wire is reminiscent of DNA molecules. The wire is coated with a wood pulp-polyurethane mix which hardens into a cast. The cast is paint with acrylic paints, India inks, and oilsticks.

The resulting twisted, convoluted abstract body parts suggest a scientific anatomical basis, yet close examination thwarts a specific identification of any particular structure. This deliberate ambiguity allows viewers their own interpretation.
